Signland CC is one of the oldest sign manufacturers on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, having being established by John Haupt in December 1991. He brought into it his many years of experience in the signage industry.

After graduating with a national diploma in Graphic Design and a B.Com Degree (Marketing), Johan Schoeman joined the business in 1994. He became a partner to John Haupt in 1999 and together they have kept the business abreast of the latest technological developments in the industry.

It was no surprise, therefore, that the business soon positioned itself as a market leader. It was the first sign manufacturer in KZN to staple flex-face substrates onto welded aluminium frames. This involved special aluminium die sections and led to the business being appointed an approved supplier to KFC / YUM! Restaurants International. In addition, Signland CC was the first local sign manufacturer to install a full neon plant, a wide format digital printer, an aluminium welding plant and a large format router.
